Since when did Fergy take over at Stockport???

I am bloody fuming, 3 minutes of injury time called, no injuries in the game whatsoever, my Norwich team is winning 1-0 away to Stockport, and they equalise, with a goal so offside it would have been more onside if their player was standing in Norwich, scored in the SEVENTH minute of injury time.

So, I see Stockport also have the "play until you score rule" that Man Utd have in real life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately these things to happen, IMT. Not the game's fault or yours.

According to the laws of the game, referee's must add:

30 secs per goal

30 secs per sub

So 1 goal and 5 subs in the second half would receive 3 mins.

1 goal and 4 subs is 2 and a half mins but they round up.

Can you send us a link to these new rules please? I'm pretty sure this is an urban myth that it's worked out this way.

Actually the laws of the game state:

"Allowance is made in either period for all time lost through:

• substitutions

• assessment of injury to players

• removal of injured players from the fi eld of play for treatment

• wasting time

• any other cause

The allowance for time lost is at the discretion of the referee." Source

Although the guidance is for the ref to bring the time when the ball is in play as close to the full 90 mins as possible, I think.

On top of the corrections for the amount of time already made by others, I believe that technically, they round down for the announcent, but play the actual calculated time (hence the "at least xxx").

e.g., if the referee though that there should be 4 minutes & 38 seconds of stoppage time, the board would go up with 4 on it, but (assuming no more stoppages) the whistle would go at 94:38.

In practice, I don't believe refs really stick to this.
