pelicanstuff
If he hasn't played 75% of his national team games for the past two years, he won't get a permit (unless he's outrageously good - but then he wouldn't come to west brom ). That's how the law works IRL, so that's how the game works.
howdy-doody
Isn't it a bit more in depth IRL?I think i remember Middlesbrough threatening to take legal action when they were trying to sign Yakubu,or would that have been a special case because he wasn't playing with the national team at the time? Kassien
irl, you can specifically appeal to the home office under certain circumstances (where the player has what is defined as "a special talent" iirc). It'll always be more in depth irl because there'll always be more scenario's such as the Bangura debacle. But yeah, get a work permit feeder club, preferrably from Belgium. pelicanstuff
It would fall under the "outrageously good", which was perhaps a slight exaggeration. The only other recent examples i can think of are Anderson, Eduardo, Obi Mikel and Kalou. There are mutterings that the system is slightly biased towards the biggest teams, as they can apply greater leverage.
Kassien
Knew it was something like that

I'm sure he would have played enough for Croatia. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

JML69
Work permits work on a club reputation basis aswell. I was barnet in league 1 and at least seven or eight times, a player could not get a permit for me then a week later went to another club with a high rep no problems. The other clubs either did not have a feeder team, and the player did not have a permit sign next to his name. Club reputation was the only answer i could come up with. pelicanstuff
was it a premiership club?
james_33
The role he will play at the club also makes a difference in the game - you are more likely to get the work permit if you offer him a key role
JML69
Usually either championship clubs or spanish second division. I gave the majority key roles.
pelicanstuff
Spanish clubs do not need work permits for their players. It's possible the championship teams may have hired better lawyers? I'm not sure. There are very few people who I've ever got work permits for on appeal outside of the Prem.
