Results Game

So, I was wondering. How does the game decide results? What factors are taken into consideration? Tactics obviously. Players: definitley. What about whethere the team is at home or not? Is it completely random?

I remember thinking that in 09 the result was effectively decided before the game (if no major tactic changes occur during the game.) Is it the same in FM10. I haven't purchased the game yet. I intend to later this week. Just interested in how results are decided.
