Try to start game up via steam but then it comes up performing first time setup then fails after that back to steam? My pc is pretty new and has a gaming spec so where is it going wrong? NeilUK Posted November 4, 2009 Share Posted November 4, 2009 Steam will be applying the patch, and also there was a direct x update that Steam applies. If its failing for any reason you will need to contact Steam themselves. Don't interrupt anything just let steam do its thing , if it says "Performing First Time Set Up" for a second time its because it has corrected the direct x problem after applying the patch Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
