lurkingwithintent
I installed the game with Steam but whenever I am without internet and try to run the game it just says that it can't connect to the Steam network and then dies. On FM09 when I installed via Steam I could still play without internet, please tell me this is the same for FM10? If so, how do I do it? Driving me mad! lurkingwithintent
I can't even load Steam up though. It just tries to update and never progresses, then I click cancel (after like an hour) and then nothing happens.

Micado
Did you try it like in FM09, look for the FM.exe file in the Steamapps folder on your PC, and create a shortcut to your desktop and start it from there.

TheMister
wont work as this year si are using steams DRM Is it OK to activate a DVD through Steam and then play offline though? I wouldn't need to bother with Steam again other than for updating?
lurkingwithintent
I figured it out. I'm at college right now but have no work and 3 hours free The college network always asks for your credentials so Steam can't connect to it to update. When it fails, it says no user details are stored on this PC. So i need to get the internet, give it my login info, click a box to make it save them, then I can play. But I can't get Steam on the internet. ANNOYING! Thanks.
Jamie543
yes once you login to steam you can set it to offline mode and never connect to steam again if you wanted
TheMister
Thank you. I've not used Steam before, but I really didn't want to need the DVD in all the time (I know I should've just downloaded from Steam then, but I like the game physically in my hand - I'm old fashioned that way :o).
