Registering players for UCL

Recommended Posts

OK i feel really stupid here but cannot for the life of me work out why i cant continue here?

I have set my players, thats all fine but i cant register them. I press continue and it takes me to the news section saying i must respond, when i click that it takes me back to squad selection with no confirmation button for the squad. Any ideas?

It sounds like your skin cache has become corrupt.

Try turning the skin cache off and reloading your skin, if that doesn't work trying deleting the cache files:

(First you may need to enable hidden files/folders, in Windows this is done through Control Panel -> Folder Options -> View -> Advanced Settings, then select 'Show hidden files and folders' you may also need to untick 'hide protected Operating System files')

Windows XP:

1. Open “My Computer”

2. Navigate to : “Documents and Settings\<Username>\Application Data\

3. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder.

4. Go Into the “Football Manager 2010” Folder.

5. Delete the "Cache" folder inside.

Wndows Vista:

1. Click “Start”

2. Click your username on the start Menu

3. Click on “AppData” and then “Roaming”

4. Go into the “Sports Interactive” Folder

5. Go into the “Football Manager 2010” Folder.

6. Delete the "Cache" Folder inside.

Mac OSX

1. Open Finder.

2. Select <User>

3. Navigate to Library\Caches\Sports Interactive

4. Delete the the "Sports Interactive” Folder.

5. In the Library folder find the folder called "Preferences"

6. Delete the "Sports Interactive" Folder.

If that doesn't work try defagging your hard drive, running disk cleanup and if you are using steam try verify the cache files.

I have run into problem with this, I was in the window that did not say anything about number of max replacements, and still I could not unselect any of the 24 who were selected previously...

(the In dropdown was greyed out for everyone)...

When pressed auto, my assistant manager was clearly able to do so (he unselected 10 players and reselected 10 other players), but thanks to the god damn homegrown bug it didnt help at all, since when I clicked auto the number went from 4 to 1....
