Is this possible?

Hi all. I'm 100% new to football manager as a series and have bought 2010.

Is it possible to start your own screen from scratch? I mean can i name my own team and create players or do I have to use a pre-created team on the game. The reason I ask is because I want to create my local team who aren't in the game.

Yeah im pretty sure if you go into the editor you can create teams and players

If you're lucky you might be able to edit their league into the game if they're high enough up.

Where do I find the editor? Sorry for being such an unbearable noob but I suppose everyone was new once.

go to the player search screen and click 'Add' in the bottom right corner

Go into the search for players area. There should be 'create' button in the bottom right of the screen. Click it and you can create a new player.

The usual mistake every noob makes is creating a team, and then adding it to a competition. That breaks the competition, as, say, it might be designed for 24 teams and now it has 25, so FM crashes.

What you want, once your new team is created, is to swap it with an existing team that is in the competition you want to start in.

Thanks for advice. I'm still struggling to find the create a player button. I'll have another look tomorrow.
