Better way to deal with Transfer Ban?

I was thinking instead of just not being able to even make an offer, they should make it so you can sign players, but they just wouldn't come until January 2011. I know Chelsea have already done it in real life when they signed 16 year old keeper Matej Dalec. He will stay at his club Inter Zapresnic (sp?) until the transfer ban ends.

Is there a way to implement this through the database editor perhaps?

I dont think so because it may be hard coded but im not 100% sure.

Well I know Chelsea have appealed to some high court or other meaning that they will be able to transfer players in the christmas window while the case is heard, but that the ban then will last longer after christmas.

Yea I figured as much, but I think it would be more realistic if you could sign players, just not have them join until January 1st 2011

.. but I'm not too fussed, as Chelsea are probably the last team I would ever manage. They've been the "villain" of too many FM saves for me to put aside my feelings and take the helm!

I always start out with them to test out tactics with good players and stuff then when I figure out what works I switch to lower level teams and tweak it a little bit. It's frustrating when I can't even make an offer for a player!
