Moonshine
It seems pretty obvious that Scouting is not working as it should - teams are allowed to scout where they realistically ought not be able to. It seems that where teams were able to scout was correct in the last version, but SI have attempted to increase scouting ranges and have ended up breaking it. What I'm talking about is best explained by looking at individual case. Firstly, my team, Thurrock, who are in the BSS. They are able to scout all of the UK and France, whereas in real life they'd probably have a struggle getting in players from outside of Essex. Who would move 500+ miles to move to Essex for £200 per week in basic wages? The same occurs even lower down the pyramid, using the new leagues. Further, it gets even worse in Scotland, as Division 3 teams such as Elgin are able to scout such far flung places as Lithuania, Poland and Spain. For no reason. They should, in reality, be limited to Scotland, as Thurrock and co. should be limited to England. Why the sudden addition of these leagues for people to scout when they are clearly unrealistic? Vic Taylor
Maybe the clubs you mentioned have a lot of money from a new chairmen? Scouting range doesn't depend on the club's attraction or reputation, rather if the club can afford to send scouts all over the world.
dirtyscarab
I've noticed the same, although I am playing @ level 10 on Super Bladesman's edited xml file (which isn't an official SI release). My level 10 East Midlands Premier League side can scout France & Spain (Not that I'm complaining!)
