art1983 Posted November 2, 2009 Share Posted November 2, 2009 I have a fairly good laptop, not the best but above average, when i load a new game the estimated game speed never gets above 2 and a half stars sometimes it just half a star and once loaded it is so painfully slow especially the 3d games. is there anything i can do to improve the game speed? have taken alot of files etc. off my laptop but still the game speed is really low. Brian Shanahan Posted November 2, 2009 Share Posted November 2, 2009 Close down a lot of the background programmes opened by your computer at start-up. I use c-cleaner for this myself but you can also do this through windows, here is a link for doing it thorugh control panel and here is a link to find msconfig and do it that way. Otherwise I would suggest updating all your drivers (go to the company websites don't depend on windows) and turning down your graphics options in game.
