Best way to tactically analyse match - 3D or 2D

Recommended Posts

I have come back to FM10, after skipping FM09 due to playing FM Live.

Now I love the tactical side of the game, but what I am struggling to decide on is whether 3D or 2D is the best way to analyse tactics, how they are working and basically get a good tactical overview of how your team is performing on the pitch.

Would be interested to hear peoples opinions etc, as at present I am thinking 2D maybe the best for me.

Perhaps people could suggest what they feel is the best Camera/View to tactically monitor what is going on?

Thanks

I do the 2D view, like you i skipped FM09 because it wouldn't work properly. I tried to do 3D but the players were not visible it just had their names and a shadow and a ball floating around the screen, so really i was forced to do 2D.

2D is good though i think because it is easier to see if your tactics are working for the 'birds eye' view.

For me it's exactly the same, you're just watching dots or people in the same positions. The camera angles make a bit of difference but you still know what's going on with the players.

I use 3D because it's sexier than 2D.

The goals look a lot better too, obviously.
