Bought the game at direct2drive.com, and it crashes all the time

Football manager 2010 10.1.0f84847 has stopped workin.... that is the message I get every time I try to start up a game... I've looked everywhere, but all I found was solutions for steam users!!! so please I need help

This problem has been occurring a lot since release, but for some reason didn't happen to anyone whilst playing the demo. Just to let you know I haven't had this problem, but if you're running FM on a desktop then check if your drivers and graphics card are updated via internet. If your running it on a laptop then just wait until a moderator or someone else to solve your solution and get you back gaming again.

Have you patched the game? The patch fixed an installation/bootup problem.

I downloaded from Direct to Drive. DO NOT patch the game, it is already patched, patching it will cause more errors.

I downloaded from direct2drive.com. Game is extremely slow and just stops responding every few minutes.

Ive updated everything now tried so many different things. Nothing will make it work ive abandoned trying.

I've updated my DX and everytime, and it stilll crashes..... I'm getting really ****ed!!!!!!!!!!!! I got an almost brand new computer so I shouldn't have any problems running the game perfectly.
