In real life RVP gets injured a lot, I guess its just going with what happens in real life..

but I can see where your coming from, I signed a player for my Luton team and in his debut he got injured for 4 weeks,

he came back from injury so I placed him in the reserve to get his fitness up and he got injured for another 4 weeks

then he comes back again and gets all fit from the reserves and gets injured for another 4 weeks.

Hes only just got back from injury and played 2 halves of a game and im in November. Sucks to be him I guess :p

Higher physical training (Aerobic and Strength) more than technique, etc, should impact things like "Natural Fitness" .. though I suspect there's a hidden "Injury Proneness" which may be set high for RVP. (The downside of higher Physical training will be slower Condition recovery between matches. Also, don't make it super-intense, as if you make his overall training workload too high you'll risk him doing himself an injury in training.)

Another possibility is that he's caught a "recurring injury"; if it keeps reporting similar injuries, you might try the option to "Get Physio Report" on the player while he's injured, and see if the Physio calls him out for a visit to a specialist to repair something. Its worth a go.

You might also try minimizing his defensive effort: lower closing down, Easy tackling, a "Free Role" .. to get him more separation from the opposition when your side gets into possession .. Offensively, maybe lower his "Dribbling"? Together, these may help minimize the number of challenges he gets in in a game, and therefore help minimize the number of injuries.

Also, obviously enough, make him a regular substitution: if you feel you've got the game in hand at 60 or 70 minutes, get him off the pitch regardless of his Condition .. why leave him out there to risk injury if you don't need to?

I never rush a player I get to play reserve untill he get fit or get him to rest for 1-2 weeks more.

Don't rest him from all training. When a player comes back you need to build up the intensity of training otherwise they'll get injured again in the next match. Give him the last 10 -15 mins for a few matches as well
