Help - No Start Up Screen

hi, i have a real problem

i installed the game properly, it worked fine

then i went to sports interactive on my mac, then to the fm10 logo, and opened the game ready to start

all the advertisements etc came up as usual , and then when it usually goes to the start up menu, where you click new game or load game etc, the screen just went off and took me back to my desktop , it does this every time

its really frustrating, can anyone help ?
