Barkermush
Just got a message saying Football enthusiasts looking to the English League Cup Qaurter Final for potential upsets were left empty-handed as there were none to be found on this particular day.Bristol City overcame Hull in a result which reflected the theme of the round. So i thought huh weird, So i checked to see if Hull were rock bottom or something and to my suprise they were 8th in the Premier League. So i checked to see if it was played at Bristol City and nope it was played at Hull. Surley that should be considered a shock or upset? I am playing on with my Demo save if that as anything to do with it? But i have patched up though....
thatdude
I dont think it is enough for a shock I don't think it is a bug.
iamweesel
Thatdude - A shock generally means a lower division beating an upper division one.
Alwyn
I wouldn't consider that a shock, Hull are expected to be relegated from the Premier division in most cases so that would bring them nearer to Bristol.
thatdude
Thatdude - A shock generally means a lower division beating an upper division one. I know but it seems that it is not really mich for a shock or bug if chelsea were beat by bristol that would be diffrent
AB-forever
But the news item makes it sound like it was expected that Hull were beaten by Bristol City... surely that is not the case?
iacovone
That's a bug as far as I'm concerned. No matter if Hull were expected to go down from the Prem, they will still be expected to beat Bristol Rovers at home with ease. Bug.
bean824
It's a bug - that's not a 'general theme' of the round.
walsh
definitely should be considered an upset, don't see how anyone can say otherwise really...
kolvuk
Barnsley beating Burnley in the carling cup this season was reported as an upset when we did the exact same thing twice last seaosn. Premier legue = big team as far as the media is concerned
Wee Aja
I had something like this happen on the demo, can't remember the teams though. Might have been Bournemouth beating Stoke or something like that but the same media comment appeared about there being no upsets.
slipknot67
This may have something to do with the game being 1-1 after 90 minutes, I've noticed that when I win a cup match after extra time or penalties my ass. man always recommends the disappointed team talk. It's as if the game doesn't recognise the events of a match that goes into extra time and only takes into account the 'final' score after 90 minutes so maybe the game is treating this result as a 1-1 draw in this case, which would be less of a shock result than Hull being defeated. Wee Aja
slipknot67 - you're right there, I've noticed that only 90 minutes are taken into consideration.
Motherlover
Agreed. The assistant doesn't seem to have a clue after 90 minutes.
thatdude
It was bristol city not bristol rovers
Irchard
I think we are all agreed that Hull are pony.
