AliasPaul Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 Ok, problem. When I install in another drive other than c:, I go to activate the game on steam so I don't have to use the DVD. I can activate it fine, but Steam says I do not have the game installed. Now when I try to install with the Steam option, it will go to drive c: by default and you cannot change it. Why is that? Aim_Less Posted October 31, 2009 Share Posted October 31, 2009 if you wanted that you should had installed steam on other drive remove steam , and install it again , on install choose were you want steam to be isntalled ( on other drive for example) login on your account and download the game steam needs to monitor game files , so it can update them and make sure the game belongs to you ,etc thats why you cant change that Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have the bl**dy DVD and it only eats into my monthly downloads....not everyone has unlimited dls.
