Once again playing the game on day of release is impossible.....

Recommended Posts

1. I have wasted £30 buying a game that you need a minor miracle to play

2. steam is a loads of crap and never works when u want it to and after 6 hours trying to install the game i give up and after playing FM and champ man since 97/98 i will NEVER buy the game again.

3. Any mod or worker at sega or steam or associated with the game should be embarrassed and shot on sight....

Danbouy, it is impossible to play a game with absolutely no bugs.

Rather than buy it from steam, why didn't you just go out and buy it in a shop? Or do you prefer to get it from steam so you can complain about not being able to get it from steam?

And I guess you probably said the same about the last football manager as well so... yeah.

Got installed no problem. weeeeeee, lets the good times roll.

Whilst I think that everyone will agree that 09 on release was a shambles in terms of registration, this year the good folks at SI / Sega decided to give you the choice to either register on steam or play with the DVD in(something that you always had to do prior to 09 anyway).

So if you are experiencing problems with steam on release day then i suggest trying the alternative rather than condoning the shooting of sega employees (after all, enough testers from SI died in production thanks to "demo date requests")!!!!

I agree with the responses. Why is it that so many people have absolutely no trouble buying, downloading, and installing the game, while others seem like they go through absolute hell and still fail.

As pointed out by Adam.S, I believe the issue is that people do not know how to keep their PCs and their operating systems clean, uncluttered, safe from malware, and running smoothly. I am militant about removing applications, files, and anything that consumes disk space and memory unnecessarily. I remove virtually all applications from running in the background by using msconfig, and I don't even run virus protection. I simply run occasional Microsoft scans, and I have a hardwire firewall.

What's the end result? I never have problems downloading, installing, or running anything.

Bought the disk, was prepared for the long wait for registration what happened last year..... 10 hours before play. But tick tick tick Voila, no problems what so ever at this moment in time. Steam just had an update too, everything smoothly.

So to put it simply. I understand ur frustrations but first look in the mirror then if thats all fine double check it.

I am still waiting for the game.

However I would suggest you explain step-by-step what you did so if there is any error, it will be solved.

Even if you do not buy FM anymore, another game might use Steam, so it is better if they solve the problem with your help.

Maybe if people watched less porn, downloaded less pirated crap, actually used registry cleaners, defragment their drives, update drivers, cleaned internal components from dust etc and actually shut down/rebooted their pc's nightly, they wouldnt get all these stupid problems.

I do all of the above, religiously and haven't had a crash in years.

L2computer manage imo.

If you post what issues you are having in the Technical Issues / Bugs forum then we may be able to help you get up and running but instead you post a pointless topic in the wrong place giving next to no information about the problems you are having. Yet another case of the OP disappearing after having a rant.

I suppose I had better watch out for those snipers when I'm out today. :(
