Uquillas
OK, I have edited the DB and saved it, but now when I load the game, it only gives me option for the old database
arsenal_2111
It isn't a database you make, it's an editor data file. Does this box appear? (note that it won't be 20 editor data files, that's my game)
Uquillas
yes, that box appears, but it only has the defaul as options, in the previous FM, the new edited DB would appear in those options
Uquillas
this sucks cant figure it out
abeatty2209
Are you sure: 1. You saved the DB correctly? Can you find it in (C:\Users\[username]\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\db? 2. You didnt save over the default and thats why its only that one appearing? 3. Have you tried restarting the PC and/or FM
Uquillas
on my Documents there are 2 Sport Interactive folders, for some reason it has been doing this since FM09
Uquillas
I saved correctly, because I did Save as and changed the name of the file, and I still get "Default" when I am loading the DB to start a game
abeatty2209
maybe try deleting the FM2009 folder?
Uquillas
maybe try deleting the FM2009 folder? I haven't installed FM on this PC since I reformatted it a few weeks ago. There is no FM09
arsenal_2111
yes, that box appears, but it only has the defaul as options, in the previous FM, the new edited DB would appear in those options Yeah, but it's changed for FM10. You no longer create a database, you made Editor Data Files. The only database available to use is 'default'. Tick 'Change' when that box appears, it should take you to a screen similar to this Select the files you want to use, and press confirm. Let me know if it works
Tim Plummer
this sucks cant figure it out Load the default database, but check the box to Change Editor Data Files. That's where you should see your custom changes. Make sure your changes are checked, and you should be good to go.
Uquillas
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, ok thanks, why did they do this? and make it more confusing
arsenal_2111
Because the editor data files are fractions of the size of the databases, and it means you can choose which files to load when you have a lot of them. It's actually a lot easier and better, once you understand it. Glad you have it sorted, enjoy your game
Calif_Ramette
When i window out of the editor to look something up for a file i am editing, when i return all i get is a black screen with the mouse pointer. Anyone know what is going on?
