Hurjay
I am having the same problem too. There is no way that I can create a new database.
moley
click apply extra files its a small tick box then it will allow you to pick which files to use on the next screen.
SI Staff Ter Posted October 29, 2009 SI Staff Share Posted October 29, 2009 The Data Editor has changed. No longer will it save an entire new database but it will generate a "changes" file that it will apply to the database. You should be able to choose which files you want to use when starting a new game.
Super Bladesman
The Editor's Hideaway is the best place to ask about editor issues. It is now no longer possible to edit the default database; instead, edits are saved as xml files which are then loaded when you start a new game. You may need to clear your cache to see your editor fata files when you start a new game - instructions are in the FAQ thread, post 2, in the Editor's Hideaway. moley
just select the file you made when you load a game and it will use the default database with the changes you have made.

I have just got the game and am going to make a few changes in the editor then download the patch tomorrow and start my game on Sunday but... If I make changes in the editor now will the patch overwrite these changes?
