Is the gulf in selling price any closer this year?

Recommended Posts

Not very good. It's hard to even give some high-calibre players away for free. Check this thread out:

Also, an awful lot of bids are coming over 48 months now, even small bids of £2m or so from big Premiership and European clubs. One of the few areas that needs improving from an otherwise excellent demo.

Usually there is quite a gulf between the amount you pay for players and the amount you get offered for your players. How does it seem this year so far?

If you want to sell a player the offer will be fairly low.

If you want to buy a player from a club who doesn't want to sell the price demanded will be very high. Basic logic.

At the start of this season Aguero was priced out of the Market so FM reflects this. He's very valuable to that club and they didn't want to sell. However, recent press reports claim they are now willing to do a deal of around £40millon. The game, researchers and SI just can't be expected to predict these sort of changes in a very fickle Market. The 60-70million quoted for Aguero in FM10 is realistic based on the information at time of programming.

Just one example of course.
