What is your summary of Football manager 2009 ???

Cant remember how many seasons, but i will list the club and the honours.

Wolves - Championship, FA cup, Legue cup x 2, Premiership x 3, Champions League.

Newcastle - FA cup, Premier league

Gateshead - BSN title, BSP title, League 2, League 1 playoff winner, Championship playoff winner, Non league trophy.

Man Utd: 6 Premier Leagues, 4 Champions Leagues, 5 FA Cups, 1 League Cup, some Community shields, super cups and WCCs.

Reading: 1 Premier League, 1 Champions League, 2 FA Cups, some Community shields, 1 WCC.

Luton: Got to Championship then got sacked for crappy season. Cant blame them tbh!

Rangers - 10 League wins, 10 Scottish cup wins, 7 league cup wins, 4 champions league wins, 4 world club champoinship wins, 3 supercup wins

All in 10 seasons - still playing

I just guided Witton Albion to twenty years of mid-table mediocrity. Was fun though.

I have over 30 saves. The best one was with a couple of friends with AC Milan:

1st season: Lost to Inter Milan in the final game which gave them the Serie A

2nd season: Won the last game away to Roma which gave me the Serie A

3rd season: Won the champs league and 4rth in Serie A

etc....... I stopped at 2022 with 31 cups and 9 leauge wins. Cups include the Euro International Cup with Italy and only runners up in the World Cup final. The most emotional moment for me was when I saw my best regen of late retire before my eyes!! I signed him when he was 22 years old from PSV called Perez Lopez. He used to be my favorite and when he retired, I just couldn't continue with game without him.

What an amazing save that was

My best ever. Ipswich 2009-2032 (and maybe one extra to come, but need to get down to some work around now, as well as save my 'want to play FM'-ness for a weeks time)

Had trouble with the 'freeze in july when you run serie C1' bug when I took them up, so went forward a year on the restart and as fate would have it they had gone up anyway in the meantime, wasn't going to take over them again but thought 'might as well' couple of lower mid table seasons (2010, 2011), then 2 3rd place finishes (2012, 2013) followed by barely scraping 4th (but first trophies in the form of both domestic cups, and a run to the CL semi's only falling on a last minute away goal). Somehow won the league the next year (2015) before back to only just getting 4th (2016), had massive spring comeback from a bad position to just clinch the league (on GD) and CL (on pens), which was the start of the '6 in a row', (2017-2022). The best part was I didn't just win the league the other 5 years, but tore it apart. That was ended by a distant 3rd in 2023, followed by a couple more less confident victories (2024, 2025) and another distant 3rd in 2026. Almost let slip a large winter lead but held on to win in again in 2027, the last hurrah for the 'golden squad', as I started going all wenger and blooding the younger players (partly in order to avoid wasting them and having them become excellent players after I'd let them go, as had happened a few times), along with a couple of established young stars for the so called 'silver squad'. As they developed there were 2 trophyless seasons followed by a retaining of the title in 2030, but not as comfortable as previous victories, retained very tightly (held rivals liverpool to a draw in the penultimate game and won by a point) and again for a 3rd time (the most recent season, 2032). Also 7 CL victories, inc 3 in a row during the '6 in a row' era, as well 2027 and 2030 as the ones I remember, alongside the close 2017 win, as well as appearances in a majority of the finals since then, including losing both since the 2030 win.

A fondly remembered career and no mistake, like nothing I've ever managed before. Being the only FM spent pretty much in one place (aside from a couple of short lived 'alternate' ones, which is an improvement on olden days when I'd just restart after a while) its the 1st one I had to create a 'change of pace' save on, and its highly likely that for one reason or another I might well go back to it occasionally.
