Half-time Orange
Surprised not to find a thread about this - surely I'm not the only one having an issue with this... I downloaded the Vanilla Demo from the Daily Mirror site ("Download for PC") to my desktop - running XP Pro. There it sits, no fancy graphic - just the standard 'file' graphic, named "Setup_FM2010_Vanilla_Demo." Clicking it prompts me to 'Open' or 'Cancel' - Selecting 'Open' asks me to choose a program to open it with - any ideas? Right-clicking and selecting properties tells me: Type of file: File Description: InstallAnywhere Self-Extractor Size: 274 MB I went back to the Daily Mirror download site - this time I selected "Find" instead of "Save" and was taken to this webpage: http://shell.windows.com/fileassoc/mimeassoc.asp?mime=application%2Fx%2Dmsdownload File AssociationWindows has the following information about this MIME type. This page will help you find software needed to open your file. MIME Type: application/x-msdownload Description: UnKnown Windows does not recognize this MIME type. You can search the following Web site for related software and information: Windows Live Search Any suggestions please?
