ScottPalaceWilsher
Whenever offering contracts to any players in any FM game even if they ask for a large signing on fee and I don't give them one they still accept the contract. One player asked for a £2m signing on fee, I offered £0 and he accepted. Is this a problem?
PGB_SPURS_FM09
Is this on FM10 or a previous version? From what i've heard you now(on FM10) have to give a signing on fee or they will reject If you are on FM10 and its supposed to be fixed maybe it is a bug? jayahr
If you want realism, it surely is. Especially when at the same time appearance bonuses are fought for beyond belief... There's a thread covering this in the FM10 demo bugs forum, so I hope that for once SI are aware of this. However, if we talk about real life: There are no signing fees irl for players who don't move for free at the end of their contracts, or hardly any. In FM so far every player asks for a signing fee, even if the transfer fee is 15m, which is wrong as well.
phnompenhandy
I lost a few key signings in the demo because I cut the signing on fee. Got badly burnt. Glad to see it's fixed now.
DANNY1000000
I agree its more realistic but I got bumped on a few deals at the start of the demo too lol.

crowsus
any plans in the game to have players who are leaving their favourite club leaving some/all of their signing-on fee to the youth system? Might be difficult to implement properly, maybe the youth system point could jump by a point or two 'behind the scenes'? Steven Fletcher, Russell Anderson and i think James McCarthy have done this in real life. I can see it being quite easy to add as a possibility as long as the player leaves on good terms, is moving to a bigger club and lists the old club in his favourites?
