ViG1980
Hi, Does anyone know what the differences are between the Mac and PC version? I know only of the net not moving on the Mac whereas it does on the PC. Are there any other graphical differences or anything else? Thanks!
saRp
actually I am really looking fwd to official clarification on this one, too. Are there gonna be any graphical / technical differences ? I don't wanna bring this up, but usually the Mac code has less bugs compared to the PC version. However, I can't wait for official feedback on this one. swede
My impression is that the Mac version doesn't look quite as good as the Windows version. I've run both and my *impression* is that the lines are a bit jaggier and the goals look slightly uglier on Mac. But this is just my feeling, I haven't done a side-by-side comparison in any way. Another thing I've found with the demo is that the Mac version crashes a lot whereas the Win version does not...

There is a problem with anti-aliasing on those (it's a driver problem and hopefully fixed in 10.6.2.). That might be the reason for jaggier lines. 2mmy
My only impression is that running my macbook in OSX, the game is hardly working at all in 2D. And when I run the machine in Windows XP, the game runs supersmooth in 3D...
matt_132
someone from SI said a few days ago the only difference is the goals moving. personally i dont use 3d anyway so it doesnt really matter
Ando THFC
The 3D graphics are lower detail on the mac.
Blanchflower1
The 3D graphics are lower detail on the mac. Why is that so?
Shottaz
To save you time, if you have a Mac and PC... just get the pc one. People need to stop buying Macs.
ViG1980
The 3D graphics are lower detail on the mac. That's unfortunate...I have both a PC and a Mac but the Mac is a lot more powerful.
SI Staff Ant Farley Posted October 21, 2009 SI Staff Share Posted October 21, 2009 The only difference between Mac and PC versions is the animated nets. Everything else is exactly the same including the graphics levels.
The Laughing Man
you wont be able to use some of the third party software,e.g FMRTE editor etc or anything else that requires the microsoft.net framework to work.

wolfie.
will third party content work on the mac version, all those downloadable tactic files and training sessions, skins etc.. that i suppose are desgigned for the PC?
Lankylars
Tactics files and training sessions should work, I imagine, as they are FM10 proprietary files, right? But as others have said, 3rd party programs like editors will not work unless there is a specific Mac version.

Ando THFC
i love how people down talk macs. '3d detail is lower'. no it isnt! I have played FM 2010 in Windows and in OS X on the same computer (via Bootcamp) and the detail level on the Mac version is lower even when they are both set to High. In fact, in the Mac version there is no difference when I choose High or Low on he detail level.
