Help!!

Hey, i've just downloaded the vanilla demo off the mirror website but it's downloaded as a unknown file and when i click on it to open it, it gives me a selection of programs to open it.. I'm really confused, any ideas?

Not really answering your question, but I had no problems downloading trough steam so I would if you can't get it working recommend steam. :)
