I think that it is 2 days but I could be wrong - as the Christmas period in the EPL is like this. With the boxing day games and next games and I also think it depends on what day new years day falls in relation to the game before. But Sat to Mon then no. I guess your example is in December? If you were in England in April/May time and you were still in the Champions League and FA Cup and you had a match postponed then it is possible but there would be no reason for a game to be postponed unless you were one of the Milans and could not play on the same day.
