Has anyone got any reports of the MAC version being worse/slower than windows ?

How about with past versions, as I have windows PC as well and although I'd rather get the MAC version I won't if it has "special bugs" like some MAC games.

Some games are slower because they are not native Mac games, they are Windows games using special technologies such as Transgaming Cider which allow the game to run on a Mac. This is similar to emulation, but only for gaming which is why it's transparent to the end user, however is does have the down side of being slower. EA use this technology quite a lot, and I think Valve used it on the Mac version of Left4Dead.

However, I've played FM on my Mac since 06 and it flies. It is native and therefore doesn't use this type of technology.
