eple
You can run steam in offline mode, but I believe that if it's installed through steam the program have to be running in order to start the game.
swirlypop69
Or just wait 'til the game is released and buy the boxed version.
SCIAG
Or download the vanilla demo from the Mirror website.
Recury
You can run steam in offline mode, but I believe that if it's installed through steam the program have to be running in order to start the game. Yes, just start Steam through the Start menu (or find it in program files) and if you aren't connected to the internet it should ask you if you want to run Steam in offline mode. thegame24
I remember there was a way on fm 2009 to just create shortcut but i tried it here and its not working
swirlypop69
If I remember a possible past explaination why that no longer works is because this year they are using Steam's own system to authenticate the product rather than someone else. Or also that you were never meant to be able to do that last year and this year Steam have "fixed" it so you can't... EDIT: I mean you can do it the way Recury says, but not the same way as for FM09...

Aim_Less
last year they used uniloc so it wasn't attached to steam protection system this year its using steamworks wich means its using steam's own protection therefore you need steam , you can play it off-line if you don't have a Internet connection just choose start off line wen the option appears, also you can go off line on steam File->go offline
stevio11
I believe this question was asked in another thread and I think the answer was that if you downloaded the demo though steam then you had to play though steam as there is no exe.file.
