2D OR 3D Match engine?

I prefer the 2D classic match engine because i always find the 3D one to be not as good and slow sometimes! Btw if i played FM through stream would my game run faster?

maybe a poll ? i prefer to skip the match with a fast speed but 3-D replays of my goals , if i watch a whole game. It's in 2D

And yeah, 3D probably. Can get a bit jumpy at times but I am enjoying it this year.

Has to be 3D, although I may use 2D occasionally for looking at player positioning when creating a tactic.

If I ever want to play fast I go for commentary only, I can really zoom through a season doing that.

2D all the way, partly because of a preference and partly due to my laptop not running 3D.

Having played my first 3D match just now, i can safely answer: 3D.

It's a hell of a lot better in my opinion. It really adds to the immersion and realism of the game.

I think the 'Elevated' view is the best though as it retains some height so you're looking down on your players more, which makes it easier to analyse the game like that. Some of the other views i'm not very keen on.

Oh, and 3D runs beautifully for me. Well i should hope so after i bought a new computer last month.

2D is the best imo

i think 2D is better for manager wise and 3D is better for more details and more exciting goals and passing movment ect

for me i like 2D it shows you the whole pitch there positioning ect and helps you more to review performances

Much like when the dots came out you couldn't go back to just commentary, i couldn't in a millions years go back to the dots after the 3D, especially now that it's been improved upon.

i use 3d too, but like some said, 2d seems to give a clearer view to find out whats wrong on your tactic. But once the tactic i made is proven good, i always use 3d, its just more fun to watch!!

I don't think I could go back to 2d now, just cause 3d gives you more information about what's happening in the game. Like in 2d, if a player slide tackles someone (I think) it just shows up as a dot that kind of jerks in one direction. In 3d you can actually see what's going on. And in 2d it's really hard to tell what's happening when shots get deflected, it just looks like pinball or something :|

3D rules the roost as for 2D that was so 2005 and now we are nearly into 2010 and 3D is the way forward to realism.

3D, 1920x1200, if you've got the hardware there's no excuse.

Don't wish to be controversial but technically speaking the 3D engine is actually 2D as it cannot allow the user to function using full 360 degree controls. In order to be a full 3D engine the user must be able to view the action from any angle.

Anyway I prefer 2D

It's really a bit to early for me to judge, last FM i played was 07 when there only was 2D, but from what i seen so far off 3D it looks very good.

3D every day of the week with the new game. I understand the "soft spot" for the dots (and I share it, as it bigs up the imagination tenfold whilst playing), but overall the 3D adds so, so much to the game overall.

I only used 2D on 09 but this year I'll be using 3D (I think)

3D was far too jumpy last year, but this year it's really stepped up. Think I'll be 3D-ing all the way this year

its a shame if youre still using 2D.3D improved a lot this year

just match commentary if its just a normal game but watch the 3d if its a important game! this years 3d is a lot better like, the stadiums and fans bring the game to life a bit more, more of a matchday feel about it.

I have always played 2D and I loved it in FM09 to the point that I never used the 3D match Engine. But in FM10 I'd be lying if I said I even tried the 2D after watching the 3D. It's soooo much realistic with the fans added it is a HUGE bonus.
