Who should go qualify???

Alrite ppl...

I was wondering whether someone could clarify why I didn't qualify for the next stage of the Champions League.

The rules (as stated in the game) are as follows:

League sorting rules:

* Results between teams

* Goal difference

* Goals scored

* Coefficient

Results were as follows:

Man Utd 1 - 0 Fenerbache

Fenerbache 1- 0 Man Utd

Man Utd 2 - 0 Rangers

Rangers 2 - 0 Man Utd

Rangers 2 - 0 Fenerbache

Fenerbache 3 - 1 Rangers

It makes no sense to me that we were the team to get kicked out !!!

That annoys me to I once finished 2nd in the league on GD even though my GD was like 5 better.

try bugs forum. I have a feeling this was one of the anti piracy measures though

Dont think thats right. He does say that on head to head that each team won and lost by the same scores. He matched the two teams on head to head and so then should go onto goals scored. You just cant then say "oh we'll forget about the Auxerre results then"

On second thoughts, after looking at it properly, i think you're right.

By removing the Auxerre results you are looking at the head to head results between the three teams, the table was created using the scores he gave.

The decider in this scenario is goals scored in the results between the three teams.

It is harsh but you should not have been losing to Rangers and Fenerbahce in the 1st place!

Yeh, s'ppose your right. Its a very poor effort.

O well, hopefully get futher next year, IF I don't get sacked!

The rule states the teams with same points should be sorted only according to matches among them. It does not mean only head to head matches but it also includes matches with third and fourth teams having same point if they exist.

In this case you need ignore the games vs Auxerre and you will end up with the table Defoge made. So it is correct that ManUni is third in that sense.

I hope I safe further embarrasment by winning the UEFA Cup!
