runandjump Posted October 7, 2009 Share Posted October 7, 2009 Many Spanish clubs (like Italian ones) sell their own TV rights, and can do so (especially the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona) for crazy amounts (like EUR80m!), so the prize money is not really an issue for them as they've made so much on the TV rights.
