matt 2403
Hi i was just wondering if there will be a way you can play fm10 on a mac without the disk being inserted all the time? at the moment steam doesn't work on macs so i hope there is something you can do to sort this out. cheers matt
DizzyIzzyB13
It says in the DRM post that Mac users can use something called eSellerate to purchase a digital copy. I've never used it, so I don't know how it works, though.
mlawrence00
This is my biggest complaint of playing FM on my mac. However, as far as I am aware there is no way around it, and I have looked. Some 'undesirable' websites have got links to 'no-cd' cracks, but they do not work. Thus, unless you want to purchase a new copy from the esellerate, it is something we will have to put up with. As far as I am aware, it is because the mac version has no activation, therefore the game checks for the original disk upon start up. If I am honest, in hindsight, I would trade this over the fiasco of activation that windows users faced last year. :-)
michaeltmurrayuk
For FM09 if you have a Mac and don't want to use the disk you'll need to download the eSellerate version of the game, where it seems you can use the cd-key that comes with the boxed version to unlock it rather than having to buy the game again. DizzyIzzyB13
Somehow, I doubt it's a particularly good idea to be talking about pirating a game on the Official Forums of the people you're stealing from.
