Elrithral
Imo it would be nice, though probably difficult to implement, if we could give staff an interview with a view to offering them a position. I often find it quite hard to decide on a new ass man or youth team coach, and would like to be able to ask them a few questions before offering them a contract. What would a position at Club X mean to you? The answer could be based on likes/dislikes, current club reputation etc. How would you see the club moving forward in the transfer market? Buying the best of the best, youth etc. Just two examples.
Fabio MVP
Any kind of interaction is welcomed as far as I'm concerned. (Y)
dgibson9999
Sounds like a good idea. Even if it was possible when you are offering a contract to give some options that will allow negotiation. for instance if you're offering a contract to an AM you could have the option to select handle reserve team, handle youth team etc and from this you get feedback of X is not willing to sign this contract unless he is put in charge of the reserve team. For coaches if you offer a contract to X as a coach then specify he will only handle first team players a response could be X isn't willing to accept the position as he wants a more hads on role with the youth team. jayahr
I don't see any use for that Why would I base any decision on who to sign on anything else but their attributes? I really can't think of anything.
JoeLatics
Because there are a fair few hidden attributes, jayahr, which you could get a flavour of (not the exact number, obviously!) through the interview!
Grimoz
Does the manager hire the staff though or is that the chairmans job?
JoeLatics
Manager's job, you always see managers bringing their staff with them to new clubs (Dave Penney at Latics to use the 1st example that comes to my head!)
IMT
Whilst it is the managers job to hire the coaching staff, does any manager ever do this via formal interviews? Most managers employ assistants and coaches they already know and worked with. Not a feature I would persoanlly use. Would like the idea of being interviewed for any manager jobs we wanted though. DivineOne
Because there are a fair few hidden attributes, jayahr, which you could get a flavour of (not the exact number, obviously!) through the interview! Are there for staff? And if there are, do they matter?
