ssestig
Not whilst i'm in the lower leagues and sometimes in the higher leagues.
facesinpatterns
Yes, I do, but you need the "right" wingers to do this, meaning wingers that have high finishing and long shots, etc rather then crossing
Coop
I like to do it so they will cut inside. Whether they actually do this in 3D I don't really know.

facesinpatterns
They do cut inside, how much you want them to do this can be effected by... if you set crossing for the wingers to rarely then almost everytime they will cut inside; if its set at mix, most of the time they will cut inside but also they will be willing to cross...you get the idea
Coop
I have them at mixed crossing and 'cross from' as well as dribble a lot. I am enjoying the effect.
pyewackett
It's been very effective when I have swapped the LM and the RM with each other. But when I do it's it is more of a once in a blue moon, suprise tactic. The player that was playing extremely well at that time in the LM position for this particular match, and wasn't the best on his right foot cut inside. That decided the game. Was a gamer winner for me. The flip side for me is if I try this too often it seriously backfires.
Coop
I am in the process of seeing which type of CF plays best with this system. Whether it should be a fast player running onto the ball or a strong holding type ready to set chances up for my wingers.
C-Mon
Depends on their crossing contra their long shot capabilities.
Roy Race 9
I have tried it and it hasnt worked out.....................but I am playing 3 AMS all with free role, and I do swap wings around during game but only when they can play both sides! Grimoz
Sometimes I do but only when their isnt another player who plays on that side available, I wouldnt do it all the time though.
John Smith
Yes, if they can't cross but have good pace / dribbling / finishing.
PhroX
When I'm playing a 4-4-2, I like to have one classic touchline hugging winger, and one wrong footer cutting in. Generally that's right and left sided respectively. As a result, I usually make my left full back much more attacking, to provide width on that side, while the right full back stays back. crouchaldinho
I've got a 4-3-3 with FR/FL and I get my wing forwards to swap positions. I start out with a left footer on the left and a right footer on the right. They then swap during the game and as a result there is plenty of variation. The players do tend to come inside more and also play a little more narrowly sometimes too when playing on their wrong side. They have a tendency to get into the box more. I've got one left footer who scored 14 goals last season and 17 the season before, mostly when cutting in from the right and hitting it with his left across the 'keeper. He also provided 15 assists last season and 14 the year before, often from crosses, but also from through-balls played in from his 'wrong' side. Worth trying this out if you have two really decent wingers. They need good dribbling, creativity, through balls, finishing and long shots to make it worthwhile in my view. Regards, C. bardock
I'd like to, but the current tactics structure, swap roles in particular, makes me avoid it. If I had the option of allow the players to swap and allow them have totally different instructions than the previous occupant then I would do it VERY often.
