FM2010 blogs day 16 - media part 3

"At the end of each football season, many footballers find themselves out of work and freed from their clubs. To make it easier for you as a manager, you now get a news item to tell you when this has happened, inform you about the high profile players who have been released, and a simple link to a list of all of them for you to scour through and see if you can find yourself a bargain."

Like this alot

Another little addition to the press conferences discussed yesterday is we've revamped the code used to decide which media sources will turn up at the press conferences, and local region media sources might not show up at the conference, rather than just media based nationally or in your clubs own city

Sorry Miles

Hey miles another cracking bit of news about the game and loving the list of released high profile players and the missed training lists! Ive just got a question about the loans being paid back - is it possible now for managers to pay off some club debt or loans with their transfer funds? Great work guys!

"Should 2 players end up with an equal top scoring goals tally at the end of the season, you'll now be told why one player got the award over the other (and no, it's not alphabetical)"

Any clarification? Surely this is something necessary to know :p

Maybe least games played? highest average rating?

Hello Miles, what about the game-activation issue. Wasn't it the plan that we would have some news about it this week?

Its only Wednesday so plenty of time for Miles to reveal more about this if he wants to. Perhaps its not up to him but Sega and they haven't given approval yet.

I'd imagine it brings up players that may actually be good enough for your club, like Michael Owen or Shay Given for Tottenham rather than having the 50-something year old Scotland keeper or that San Marino midfielder that appeared once for the team relegated from the Sanmarinese 2nd Division appear.
