itfcplayer
Hi all I know this has been covered before but I am getting a new laptop and want to make sure I can run FM09 and then FM10 very fast with as many leagues as poss. I was thinking of getting one from DELL with the following specs: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8600(2.40Ghz, 1066MHz, 3MB) 1GB ATI® Radeon™ HD 4670 graphics card 4096MB 1067MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048] 500GB (7,200rpm) Free Fall Sensor Hard Drive Is this going to be any good (I have £900 to spend and it has to be a laptop). Any advice would be much appreciate Thanks I
jakobx
Its not a quad core but other than that the specifications look ok to me. Its not gonna break any speed records but you cant expect too much from a laptop.

bardock
Let me ask you what sort of games do you play? Might as well expand on this a little. If you're not into graphically intense games/work then you probably can afford getting a weaker graphics card and upping the processor speed. Right now most of your money is probably going into the DD3 ram and the graphics card.

Only just over a month to get the decision right!! I If you have the cash now, surely you would be better off keeping it and waiting until the demo is released for FM10 so you can see the actual specs required. That way you can buy accordingly and not have a surprise put on you in case of the system requirements, although it is widely tipped to not be too different from 09. Any advice would be much appreciate Thanks I Not too bad really. You'd easily be able to run 6 countries (20 odd leagues) on a large database with that spec. I take it that it will have to be a laptop? For £900 you really could buy a monster desktop PC that would easily be twice as powerful as the specs you've posted.
