Brian Shanahan
But Argentinian clubs have been operating with massive debts for years. World Soccer had an article in the current issue about it, the current problems go back to at least 2001 when players went on strike over non-payment of wages with the AFA having to bail them out, two years ago the top clubs were under investigation over suspected money laundering re foreign transfers. Frankly in real life Argentinian players have been cheap for years, with the majority of the fees paid going to agents as well putting clubs in an even worse position.
