Braenn
As the title says, can you guys just recommend the sites please. http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/ They've always been fantastic for me. Usually are quite balanced specs, but if you don't know computers don't be taken in by processor/cache speeds or sizes. Always google every key component looking for reviews because things like Celerons are notorious for being appallingly...well....apalling
stevio11
Very good Hershie but not quite what I am after. I just people might know other sites that I don't know, do you?
trekman
Very good Hershie but not quite what I am after. Then what are you after in term of a laptop? It would probably help if we knew this. If its just for FM then something like this might suit you http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/5070705/c_1/1%7Ccategory_root%7COffice%2C+PCs+and+phones%7C14418968/c_2/2%7Ccat_14418968%7CLaptops+and+mini+laptops%7C14419039.htm I think the screen is a bit on the small side though. backpackant
Try the "reconditioned" section on the standard sites like PC World and Currys. I got £100 off a very good machine.

trekman
http://www.alienware.co.uk/product_pages/notebook_all_default.aspxEnjoy Alienware is fine if you want to pay double the price to get a similar spec machine elsewhere.
