FA Cup in FM10

With us being able to make the lower leagues active, I'm hoping that we'll be able to make the FA Cup start at the real first phase i.e. the Extra Preliminary Round.

And of course the Preliminary round onwards in the FA Trophy.

I would certainly hope so

I'm sure we can edit it by our self, but of course it's better to see them in the original release.

Just like Romania cup in the current version, start in round one, even through no playable team participate that round

I would like to see every domestic cup competition start from their first round

You need to create the FA Cup yourself in place of the old one (I'm sure thats what Miles said in the announcement thread)

The game out the box will be no different to what it is now (in FM09) and the cup will stay that way - i.e if you edit the leagues but not the cup, the teams in the leagues which should enter the cup before 2nd Qualifying round will not be in it

Looks like I'll be playing with the editor as I'm aiming for Isthmian North/South level.

Why do we need to create a new cup, just add several round should be ok

It'll be interesting to see if we can 'activate' earlier rounds - I'm really hoping we can.

Presumably if you manage a team in a lower tier, the qualifying round they start in will be automatically activated. Whether it can be activated after adding the lower tier leagues when you're managing Chelsea is an interesting question which maybe an SI person can address.
