T-Unit-LFC
Can anyone help me.... I want to know how you can save an FM save game file to a USB Stick, if possible? Appreciate any help given, thanks. Matt
chopper99
As far as I know it is possible. In the game I think you can specify where the save goes to, so just point it at the usb stick. You can also easily transfer saves from your PC to a usb stick.
AcidBurn
I can't see why not, surely you can move the file onto the USB from your PC or I think you might be able to select it directly when choosing where to save the file to. Have you tried?
Cougar2010
Yes its possible but I can't remember if you can do it direct from FM. You may need to copy the game across using explorer.
chopper99
I know you can choose where you load a save from in FM so I'm guessing you can select where you save to as well directly from the game. I haven't go the game handy at the moment though so can't check.

Cougar2010
Just the save game file and then you can play it on any PC that has that same database installed on it by coping the game into the correct folder. I'm not 100% sure of the location of the save game file (You can do a search of your drive though) but its in the SI folder which is under documents & settings within your user profile. jayahr
Should be possible if the USB is big enough and if you have enough time - it should be way slower than wrinting to a HD.
Antmangunner
You also have to have the right version, so if you're on 9.3 you can't play a game on the original version.
TomK
Also save your tactics and training schedules on it aswell
tenthreeleader
Just the save game file and then you can play it on any PC that has that same database installed on it by coping the game into the correct folder.I'm not 100% sure of the location of the save game file (You can do a search of your drive though) but its in the SI folder which is under documents & settings within your user profile. You'll find the file in "My Documents" in Windows Explorer. Look under the appropriate game (FM 08, FM 09, what have you) and then open the 'games' subfolder. There she be. Files can be dragged and dropped into a USB folder through Windows Explorer. That is standard operating procedure for me as a writer -- I do it weekly so I don't run the risk of corrupted files damaging the writing I've been working on for two and a half years.
