View Full Version : Media Questions
Is there ever any point in saying something can could be controversial? In particular I mean when you've had a goal disallowed or something and you say you thought the ref got it wrong... I've never had anything but a warning or a touchline ban for saying something like that.. I know it's quite true to real-life, as managers do get in trouble for it, but it just means, is there any point of the feature?

You do get touchline bans.
i know, i said i'd never had anything but warnings or bans... i'm asking if there's ever any positive outcome to these situations?

I usually don't say anything but last night I vented out my frustrations on a 90th minute penalty against us in Champions League 1st knockout round 2nd leg against Arsenal. As usual, I got warned http://community.sigames.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I haven't come across a positive one, though there's always the neutral "silence".
If you're sure the call was wrong (you can watch for offsides but you can't tell what's going on with fouls) you can call out the ref. "Silence" is as positive as it gets but i do seem to remember a player appreciating my sticking up for him. Sometimes when, during the event, the commentary says "that was dubious, wasn't it?" i speak up.

sry being so blunt, but the whole feature is flawed as long as you can't tell whether it was foul or not. so my adice just ignore the media.
at least most of the time.
This has been covered ALOT of times. A search would tell you the answer.
The advantage is that saying the right things can improve your players morale.

Media interaction isn't a brilliant part of the game IMO.
Actually, it's barely decent.

Its not worth the grief of getting a ban imo. I just pretend that I have that disease - wengeritis and just say that I never saw anything!
