yankee_ram
I just had to register my aquad for the CL 3rd Rd Qual. It said that I had to have 4 players trained at Derby (no probl) then 8 players who had been trained at an English club for 3 season between the age of 15 and 21. I have bought a couple of young Brazillians at age 18, they have been with me for 5 years, not on loan yet are not counted as home grown under the trained for an english club for 3 seasons rule. I dont understand why they wouldnt if they came to me at 18, by age 21 that would be thier 4th season. Anyone know why they would not be counted as HG? Frame
Because you are getting on their 18th birthday. So they'll be one day short of 3 full seasons between 15 and 21.

emto
What about if you loan players out? Do they get home grown status only if you keep them in the reserves?
vanpersie11
What about if you loan players out? Do they get home grown status only if you keep them in the reserves? They still get home grown status for your club if they are loaned out, providing they have been with your club for at least 3 years before their 21st birthday.
