stotty
i am wanting to try to make my own tactic but want to be able to be given time to get it right without being sacked. Which is the easiest league and the best team where i will be given time to get things right?
Arijit
Every league has some degree of difficulties. I would rather say, peek into editor and find a club whose Chairman is 'patient'.
Celtic_1967
Celtic or Rangers in the SPL. Celtic have more money and (arguably) a slightly better squad. Not sure about other leagues though.
Saxonaitor
A english lower league I suppose... Or the Welsh prehaps? It all depends on the chairman I think
typenamehere
The welsh league is pretty hard but if you do decide to choose the league go for dinas powys there chairman isreally patient
Delvor
I find the MLS the easiest to manage in, just get in the right coaches and develop your tactics. Its good if you have patience with the salary cap and not being able to trade the special player slots.
Brian Shanahan
Shakhtar/Dinamo in the Ukranian premier league. They are miles ahead of the opposition, have decent foreigner rules, and there are some very good players available cheap from the other clubs. I agree with this, Shakhtar would be a the best one to pick.
englandmanager
i find the mls really easy, probably due to the clubs being very similar in talent and my tactics being spot on
uusinjsh
Ukraine and Shakhtar..!! I spent 40mil transfer budget on Witsel, Zapata, Weillison and Apam.. And that's it. Unbeaten in first season, Dinamo nowhere near me.
lutontown1991
Newcastle. Mike Ashley is a very patient man. With Managers and about deciding on whether or not he wants to keep the club
uusinjsh
Newcastle. Mike Ashley is a very patient man. With Managers and about deciding on whether or not he wants to keep the club I've heard that Newcastle they lose a lot of money because of high wages when playing in Championship. Basically it is only the first season, but still.. Is it true..? Or if I decide to pick Newcastle should I just ignore the losses during first season and rely on big money that will be given when playing in PL..? lutontown1991
Well in FM09 they are in the Premier League and more than likely in the game the club wont get relegated so you wont have to worry about The Championship in 09. But in 2010 you might have to reduce wages in order to make a success

lutontown1991
Ok well i suppose stick with that and maybe reduce wages or sell off high earners. You should get promoted anyway
arsenal fan 123
SCottish league Be celtic play 4-4-2 and easy only competition is rangers and maybe hearts
hilly_boro
Turkish League was easiest Ive come across.....Won the league by 18 points with Galatasaray and I played poorly.... Others were just worse.
kevinM182
newcastle in championship, won league by 25 points i think it was
Lower Leagues Rule
I think if you are doing testing it is much better to pick a team who are between safe-mid table and battling relegation because then the expectations are not so high and if you have a patient Chairman as well you shan't be sacked, try a big European countries smaller leagues. So Spain's Liga Adelante, Portugal's Liga Vitalis or somewhere similar level and pick one of the teams expected near the bottom.
TheMister
Yeah, there's possibilities at big clubs who have low ambitions for the 1st season. One that springs to mind is PSG - media prediction of 11th, and with a bit of creativity with the finances you can get around £20m to spend
baker.simon
Easiest league? SPL.
bean824
Portugal with Benfica? Poland with Wisla?
Jirki88
Swedish Second Division. No player restrictions whatsoever. If you sign foreign you gotta be a REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY useless manager to fail.
Lower Leagues Rule
Ok suggesting top teams for an "easy" test is stupid. If he is testing things out and fails with a top team he will be fired pretty damn quickly. If you want to avoid being fired I still say pick a safe mid-table team and go for the lowest possible board expectations then if you are starting to fail the board is sorta forgiving. If you choose a top team in any of the top leagues to 'test' with you will be fired.
IMT
If your testing a new tactic then you need a middle of the road team, no point choosing Shakthar like others have said, you could win the league with Shakthar literally doing nothing. I would go for a team like Middlesboro', not expected to do much (if stil playing with an unedited db), and Gibson is about a patient a chairman as you will get in England. RBKalle
The best pick is probably an upper-mid table team in a relatively uneven league. It'd be no use picking, e.g. Celtic or Shakhtar, as you could probably win DESPITE a bad tactic. Just as it'd make little difference what tactic you're using if you're managing a bunch of modest Lower League players. I would take a look in France, Monaco or Rennes could work fine. Italy too, but there the chairmen aren't that much patient... probably Sampdoria or Atalanta are quite safe picks
nick1408
I think Australia is the easiest league. the rules take people from outside australia a bit to get used to but there are only 8 teams, most teams have low expectations and because of a salary cap all the teams are fairly even in regards to squad strength
Wee Aja
Shakhtar That's what I was coming in to say, loads of money to spend as well. Although convincing good players to come to you is the difficult part
Arijit
I would rather suggest, load the DB in FM Editor. Then find a club whose Chairman is patient. This way, you won't get sacked if you have some bad results. There are plenty of clubs available.
