trekkie_ram Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 I am in the final of the FA Cup. The second Semi Final is between runaway Premiership leaders Arsenal and Championship side Ipswich. If I lose to Arsenal in the Final, and Arsenal go on to win the Premiership, do I qualify for the Euro Cup as runners-up, or does this place go to the next highest placed Premiership side? Historically, it has always been the runners up of the FA Cup who get the UEFA Cup spot if the winners qualify for Europe through the league. If I remember correctly, that is changing this season and runners up will not qualify, it will indeed go to the next placed team in the Premier League who have not qualified for Europe.
