Fallenone
that is fm for you u can motivate to win against big teams but nothing against small teams jk try praising ur players in the media when they are in good form that motivates them to keep on playing good, or criticise them if theyre playing bad
SCIAG
That's one way. Try the "I expect a win" team talk.
AB-forever
Try the "I expect a win" team talk. Usually works for me
Brian Shanahan
Sometimes playing a few fringe players works for me better against the small teams, and as they are usually younger players they get the advantage of practice against teams that aren't too tough. SellOn_Clause
When a reporter asks pre-match do the "Won't be an easy match" one or "I just want a good performance". You'll know you have it right when you click confirm and it talks about "played down talk of his side beating <opposing team>."
typenamehere
Never tell your team you expect awin. Play some lesser players. At half unless its about 4-0 say your dissapointed. They're my tips they worked for me.
earmack
depends on the squad unity and personality and such but generally 'for the fans' is my best safeguard against complacency.
Bartman2008
I have a similar problem with my Arsenal side - who on the day are pretty much unbeatable. Morale is high and the team all get along. However when playing small teams either home or away, my players are always nervous or complacent (we're always heavy favourites). I'm not sure whats best to motivate them to perform against the 'lesser' teams
