skingegg
After many seasons of few players going into my under 18's, almost all of whom have been severly dissapionting, is there any way of getting more/better quality of youngsters going into my under 18's? (singing greyed out players is not what i mean.)
RBF652
You can always look into other teams under 18's, depending on your money. If I have some transfer funds remaining (£5 max), I usually search for young players. For example, I bought a 18 year old midfielder and sold him for £60! Buy some young lads and then if they don't develop into something good, sell them. Normally, it's profitable.
ab328
Perhaps you could upgrade your youth facilities?
Dekker2
Upgrade your youth facilities as much as possible. Other than that, I don't know - perhaps coaches with good "working with youngsters" stats? As far as I know, facilities are the only variable that you can improve. I've heard that where your club is located plays a difference (so if you're the only club in a big city, in a major footballing nation you'll get a better crop), but since there's not an "MK Dons" button, there's not much you can do about changing location. skingegg
Im currently in my 24th season as manager of Man utd, i cant upgrade it any more. I literally have the best available. I do poach youngsters because i have few under 18's in my U-18 squad.
Haynes28
Usually you will only get 5 or 6 players coming through your youth ranks per season. I've not had an under 18s goalkeeper for about 3 seasons, meaning I don't have to give away any coaching time to them!
