Work permit appeals failing = transfer cancelled?

Recommended Posts

Providing you have a WP feeder club, the transfer will go through, regardless of whether the player is granted a wp or not. For a south American, youre best of gettin a Spanish feeder if you can, as it usually only takes 2 years of being on loan for them to gain Spanish nationality, iirc...

Otherwise Belgium is a good place to send players without a WP as it is only three years there. Unfortunately my Japanese starlet still hasn't got a WP despite having 7 caps, but never mind, only one more season before he gets one from playing in Belgium.

Bulgaria also has just 3 years...are they EU though?

yes they are... and Romania, and Poland... can be difficult to get players to join clubs in those leagues though, as theyre not as high league rep as Belgium.

yeah thats true, although it tend to be better to send them to Belgium anyway, even if they dont get 1st team games, simply because, by their third year, they can see themselves "too good" to play in that league, and wont go. if that happens, youre up a certain creek without a paddle in terms of renewing their contracts...

Someone has already mentioned that in order for the transfer to go through you must have a feeder club with the main benefit being work permit. If not you will not be able to sign them.
