Management
Just wondering ... How much would a Long-Term injury affect the development of wonderkids? I currently have a Wonderkid who will be out for 3-4 months with injury. I was wondering would the lack of practice & match experience in this time hinder his Wonderkid status. Elrithral
One injury, probably not, if he has persistent injury problems then it could harm his development.
jayahr
The CA development of any player will suffer from a long-term injury. Young players do not develop at all and may even lose the odd CA point. As a wonderkid description is given to any player below a certain age with a certain minimum CA and a certain minimum PA, the injury may affect his wonderkid status if his CA falls below that threshold. As far as I know though injuries do not often lead to CA reductions and losing the status could also only happen if the kid if just above that needed CA number. So all in all it's quite unlikely, I'd say.

AbsoluteGenius
I had a wonderkid at Barcelona who would have been wonderful if not for a broken leg. He was scoring at will for my Barcelona side so it was heartbreaking to see his career ruined by injuries. I still kept him though and gave him a run out in the final ten minutes of games.
