transfer listed players - can you buy them....?

Does anyone else find that if a good player is transfer lister, and for example has an asking price of £2M, if other teams are interested, their bids of that amount will be accepted, but yiours of the same amount will get rejected?

This is incredibly annoying, and goes to the point where you make an enquiry for the player, the selling club says 'ok we want £2M', you make the bid and they reject it anyway!

anyone seen this? is it a known issue? It makes it hard to sign listed players if anyone else is interested

Yes it happens, did you set a deadline? Normally if you don't set a deadline, they will accept the fee.

Whats more annoying is when they have a 5m asking price, so you offer this, and then they say hmm we want 7m actually.

It can happen both ways- if you transfer list a player and set an asking price and get 3 or 4 clubs interested, you can negotiate a higher price.

yeah but they don't negociate, they just accept the lower bids from the other teams and reject mine, usually even if it's higher. As mentioned above, it could be due to a deadline being applied. I'll give that a shot.

Very rarely do I have a probem with transfer listed players, I make a majority of my purchases from the transfer list.

It is hard to negotiate. I think the whole negotiation should happen in one go, rather than the rigid back and forth which really doesn't give ample to time grind into a workable deal.
