Help with a new hard drive

My computer no longer works but this is actually great news as my football manager 09 didn't run as many leagues as I would have hoped and now I (or in other words my dad:D) have to buy a new one so was wondering if any of you experts out there could reccommend what I should look for to have my football manager running like a dream and how much I would be looking at pricewise and also, if it is possible to say at this stage, whether it will also be good for FM10 when its out? It is a hard drive for a desktop computer if that helps, quick replies will be appreciated but to be honest I appreciate any help, thanks in advance

You do know a hard drive is just one part that goes into a computer don't you?

Harddrive size doesn't make that much difference to performance does it?

Required specs;

* Windows XP / Vista

* 1.4GHz processor for XP or 2.0 GHz for Vista

* 512MB RAM for XP or 1GB RAM for Vista

* Graphic Card - 128MB Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra, ATI Radeon 9800, Intel 82915G/82910GL or better.

Just try and do better than that in everything, especially GHz (around 1.6 try for) and RAM (2GB or 3GB is much better).

Btw, XP is better. A lot smoother on XP than Vista.

thanks people, I have a VERY basic knowledge of computers I am a bit of a dummy, I know that I have XP but how do I find out how much RAM I have and what my processor is etc

Or right click on the my computer icon and select properties from the menu and it will show you the information you need.
